About Us

Walking in the Footsteps of Jesus

Step into the Holy Land, where Jesus walked, taught, suffered, died, and rose again—all out of love for you and for me. We live because He loves us.

We created Faithful Footsteps to share the sacred places where Christ lived and ministered, bringing their beauty, history, and significance to life through our extraordinary videography. This virtual pilgrimage allows more people to experience the blessings and grace of the Holy Land, deepening faith from anywhere in the world.

A Land of Faith and Struggle

The Holy Land—spanning Israel and the West Bank—has been cherished for centuries by Christians, Jews, and Muslims. Yet, those who call it home face daily hardships due to ongoing conflict.

On October 7, 2023, war once again devastated the region, claiming over 47,000 lives and leaving countless others in crisis. We ask you to join us in prayer—for the people of the Holy Land, for an end to this suffering, and for peace to prevail.

Supporting Palestinian Christians

Palestinian Christians, though separated from the conflict in Gaza, are suffering greatly. Their livelihoods depend on pilgrims and tourists, but with travel at a standstill, many are struggling to survive.

Through Faithful Footsteps, we aim to support these faithful communities while offering you a meaningful way to connect with the Holy Land. Every contribution directly aids those in need, ensuring their faith and traditions endure.

Join Us on This Sacred Journey

While we pray for the return of physical pilgrimages, we are committed to bringing the Holy Land to you. Our small but passionate team has captured the essence of the land where Jesus walked, so that you, too, may experience its spiritual richness.

May this journey strengthen your faith, inspire your heart, and remind us all of the power of hope, prayer, and unity.

Rami Yatim

Expert Guide & Storyteller of the Holy Land

With over 20 years of experience, Rami Yatim is our trusted guide, leading us through the sacred sites of the Holy Land. Born and raised in this historically rich region, Rami has dedicated his life to sharing its profound spiritual and historical significance. He is a devoted husband and father, deeply connected to the land that has shaped his faith and calling.

When COVID-19 brought tourism to a halt, Rami, alongside videographer Shiraz Alrishmawi, saw an opportunity to bring the Holy Land to the world. Together, they embarked on a mission to create a virtual pilgrimage experience, documenting the footsteps of Jesus Christ through the lens of both Biblical history and local tradition. Although the project was put on hold as travel resumed, the vision never faded. Rami reflects on this journey:

“I had always dreamed of creating this project, but it wasn’t until the lockdown in 2020 that I was finally able to begin. I believe that even in our darkest moments, God works for our good—and that’s when this vision came to life. My goal has been to document the footsteps of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, and to illuminate the Biblical and historical events that unfolded in this sacred land. Over the past 20 years, I have been blessed to guide countless pilgrims, building meaningful connections with each one. Now, through these videos, I pray that many more can experience the beauty and grace of the Holy Land, strengthening their faith and understanding of Christ’s message. May God bless you all.”

Through Faithful Footsteps, Rami brings each site to life, weaving together Scripture, history, and local traditions. He invites you to walk in the footsteps of Jesus, from Bethlehem and Nazareth to Calvary and the Holy Sepulcher. This journey offers more than just historical insight—it provides a deeper, more personal connection to the Divine Word, revealing the living presence of Christ in the land He once walked.

Deacon Richard & Kathy

Pilgrimage Leaders & Faithful Storytellers

“Greetings from the Sea of Galilee!

Before the tragic conflicts in the Middle East, Deacon Richard and his wife, Kathy, devoted themselves to leading pilgrimages to the Holy Land, offering pilgrims a life-changing, faith-deepening experience. Their commitment to making these sacred journeys accessible to a broader audience remains unwavering.

“A pilgrimage to the Holy Land is transformative—a true spiritual gift for those who embark on this journey.”

Married for 43 years, Deacon Richard and Kathy are blessed with three grown children and three grandchildren. They reside in Peachtree City, Georgia, but their hearts remain closely tied to the lands where Christ walked.

With travel to the Holy Land currently unavailable, they have continued leading pilgrimages to other sacred destinations, including Spain, Portugal, and France, with an upcoming journey to Greece and Turkey in May 2025.

Recognizing the need for an alternative way to experience these holy sites, Deacon Richard designed and helped develop the Faithful Footsteps website, ensuring that the virtual pilgrimage experience is as immersive and meaningful as possible. Once the Holy Land pilgrimage is complete, he looks forward to collaborating with Shiraz Alrishmawi to expand the virtual experience to other significant religious sites, including Italy, Greece, Turkey, and Poland.

Faithful Footsteps offers more than just history—it opens a new lens into Scripture. Through these sacred places, may you discover the richness of the “Fifth Gospel” and deepen your understanding of Christ’s journey

More from Rami Yatim

A Guide Through the Holy Land and Life in the West Bank

When you hear Rami Yatim’s story, you gain a deeper understanding of what life is like for a Palestinian Christian in the West Bank—a life of faith and resilience, walled off from Jerusalem and unable to move freely within his own homeland.

Rami was born and raised in Beit Sahour, the “Village of the Shepherds”, where the angel announced Jesus’ birth. He grew up immersed in the stories of Christ, passed down from generation to generation, and watched pilgrims from around the world come to pray at the cave just steps from his home. This ignited his passion for sharing the Holy Land’s deep history and spiritual significance.

After studying Business Administration at Bethlehem University, Rami’s true calling emerged when he joined Bethlehem Bible College’s tour guide program. In 1999, he became a licensed tour guide, one of only 50 Palestinian guides permitted to work in both the West Bank and Israel.

His journey, however, was filled with hardship. In 2000, just days after arriving in Portugal for a scholarship, war erupted in the Holy Land, devastating tourism and leaving him without work upon his return. Survival meant taking any job he could find.

In 2005, as pilgrims slowly returned, so did his career. Over the next 20 years, he guided thousands of pilgrims, helping them experience the land of Christ. But again, in 2020, COVID-19 shut down tourism. Rather than despair, Rami and Palestinian Christian videographer Shiraz Alrishmawi saw an opportunity—to document the Holy Land like never before.

“Pilgrims can’t remember everything from a week-long trip. They need a resource that captures the history, archaeology, and faith of these sites—so I set out to create it.”

Together, they filmed as much as possible—sometimes using green screens as sites shut down. The project sustained their families and connected pilgrims worldwide to the Holy Land.

When COVID ended, pilgrims returned in full force—but just a year later, war erupted once again. Now, everything is uncertain. Rami fears that due to the political and demographic shifts following the war, he may never be allowed to guide pilgrims again.

Yet, he remains steadfast in faith:

“I trust in Jesus. He will guide me through this dark valley. He has a plan for each of us, and His plan is always better than ours.”
